First time use:
Before starting to use the product, we recommend using our Spa Tube Cleaner and renewing the water so that all other used chemicals are removed. This way, we start with pure water and Spa-clarity can do what it has to do best.
Starting Spa-clarity:
Add the product weekly in a ratio of 100 ml Spa-care 1 and 100 ml Spa-care 2 for a jacuzzi of 1 000 litres of water.
Spa-clarity will only work if equal volumes of product are used from both numbers. Add number 1 first, then add number 2. If this is accidentally done in the wrong order, this is not a problem for the product action - if the pumps are switched off.
First treatment:
- Fill jacuzzi with pure tap water.
- measure pH value and adjust to pH 7.2 - 7.6 if necessary.
- add 100ml/1 000l of water Spa-clarity 1 and 100ml/1 000l of water Spa-clarity 2.
- place 2 20-gram chlorine tablets in the dosing float.
- Operate jets for several minutes.
- Your jacuzzi is now ready for use.
Follow-up treatment with Spa-clarity:
- Add Spa-clarity 1 and Spa-clarity 2 weekly as instructed.
- Place 2 chlorine tablets of 20 grams in the dosing float every week.
- For intensive use, measure pH weekly and adjust if necessary.
- Measure chlorine content and adjust if necessary.
Reaction of the water when adding Spa-clarity:
When the product is added, the water may become cloudy, this goes away after a few seconds/minutes when the pumps are running.
The two products should be added separately. From the moment number 1 and number 2 are put together in one cup, you get a cloudy, thickened product. When adding the product to your bath water, it will mix 100% with the water and pose no further problem.
The special composition of the product also allows direct bathing after addition.
When to add Spa-clarity:
Spa-clarity is best added after bathing to give the filtration system time to purify the water. This allows all fine pollutants to be stopped by the filter, giving your hot tub crystal-clear water.
Spa-clarity reduces the use of chemicals:
By using Spa-clarity, you are choosing the easiest and most environmentally-friendly way to keep your hot tub crystal clear. By using the two-component product, you reduce the use of other chemicals. Spa-clarity provides crystal clear water and buffers the water, thus reducing the fluctuations in your water.
The only thing Spa-clarity does not do is disinfect the water, for this you need to use recognised chlorine products which can be different in each country.
Water parameters
When starting with pure water, the following parameters can be checked:
- On first use, pH value: this is the acidity of the water and ensures proper action of your chlorinated products.
- Alkalinity: ensures a good balance of your water. Spa-care ensures that this is kept up to standard.
If the alkalinity is too low or too high, the pH will fluctuate, the water will become cloudy and various impurities may occur. Spa-clarity greatly reduces these fluctuations, keeping the pH stable.
- Chlorine content: disinfects the water and kills bacteria.
Chlorine products to be used: supplied chlorine tablets 20 grams or calcium chloride. These two chlorine-based products contain no stabilisers, which allows your chlorine products to act optimally. If the chlorine product value is too high, a stabiliser will encapsulate the chlorine products resulting in insufficient free active chlorine, which means the water cannot adequately be disinfected. This can result in murky and water that is not free of bacteria. (min. 1.5ppm free chlorine)
